The RS4 has just had a carbon clean and a fresh MAF sensor fitted. The old one wasnβt showing faults, but at 160k miles, it felt due for a refresh.
After installation, we logged 3 runs β each one topping out at a consistent 160 g/s. Thatβs right on the money for a healthy B7 RS4 MAF reading, showing the V8 is breathing properly and fueling as it should. π¨
For context: tired MAFs often under-report airflow, which can rob performance without triggering fault codes. Swapping ours means accurate fueling, sharper throttle response, and the reassurance that the car is running at its best.
Preventative maintenance on these high-revving, naturally aspirated V8s isnβt just about avoiding issues β itβs about keeping them at peak performance. π
